The Theory Test is the first step on your journey to becoming a fully qualified driver in the UK — and it's just as important as the practical test!

Before you can book your driving test, you’ll need to pass your Theory Test at an official DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) test centre. These are located all across the country, and your pass certificate is valid for two years.

🧠 What does the test involve?

The Theory Test is split into two parts, and you’ll need to pass both to move on to the next stage:

  • ✅ Multiple Choice Questions — You need 43 out of 50 to pass

  • ✅ Hazard Perception — You need 44 out of 75 to pass
